Introducing New House Farm: Feel at Home in Hatton
August 10th, 2024
Welcome to Hatton – the home of New House Farm, Eccleston’s newest A-Rated development. When you’re deciding on your next move, it’s just as important to get to know the place that will become home as much as the details of your new home itself! To help you get settled, we’ve taken a trip to explore what becoming a resident of Hatton really looks like.
Finding Your Way to Hatton
Nestled just outside of Warrington, Hatton village seamlessly blends country living with superb connectivity to provide the best of both worlds when it comes to convenience. A mere 15 minute drive from Warrington centre, Hatton feels close to the centre of the action while keeping a nice, rural feel. With the addition of a new bus route, 14 buses a day run through Hatton keeping it well connected to the surrounding areas in all directions. It’s also close to major routes like the M6 and M56, and within easy reach of airports including Liverpool John Lennon Airport, a 22 minute drive, and Manchester Airport, a 17 minute drive, making it an ideal place to call home.
Staying Connected
As a small village, Hatton hosts a vibrant community spirit. Whether it’s through the active Parish Council or the Hatton Village Community Association, residents get involved and support each other. A bi-monthly Hatton newsletter is put together by the Parish Council and delivered to residents, which is a great way to keep up to date on local news! A Hatton WhatsApp group stitches together the community online for more immediate matters, offering support on everything from lost pets to missing parcels or simply just for checking in.
Thanks to the work of the local Parish Council, run entirely by volunteers, Hatton remains well maintained all year round. From cutting the grass to ensuring the broadband speed is up to scratch, no query is too small to improve the quality of life for residents.
Local Attractions & Activities
Taking full advantage of the countryside, Hatton is a haven for nature lovers. With beautiful walks along bridal paths to Appleton Reservoir and the canal, the village offers stunning scenery and tranquil spots for relaxation.
Alongside the scenic countryside, Hatton’s annual social calendar has a range of much-anticipated annual events, including Hatton Fun Day raising money for charity, with this year’s charities of choice being the British Heart Foundation and West Lancashire NHS. The charities of choice for the Fun Day typically relate to a cause close to the community, and change each year.
Other events take place throughout the year including Halloween activities for the little ones, a trip to the Chester Christmas markets sponsored by the Parish Council with carol singing around the village and a Christmas light switch on to kick off the festive period. Outside of annual holidays, The Hatton Village Community Association holds a residents lunch every 2 months in the summer and monthly in the winter, ensuring everyone stays connected even through the colder months. Smaller events take pride of place on a regular basis, such as the Hatton Arms pub quiz once a month that also raises money for charity.
Each year Hatton is one of the nearby villages which has the Creamfields Music Festival on its doorstep. As the years progress, the organisation of the event has had far less impact on the village and villagers. Free tickets are available for residents and each year Creamfields donates a sum of money to the Parish Council which is used to benefit residents. During the festival weekend vouchers are available for residents to eat at the Hatton Arms and over the years the money has been used to fund larger events such as the Queen’s Jubilee Party in 2022 and the Coronation Party in 2023.
